About the Role
Megalo Education (trading as Megalo Recruit) is a specialist education recruitment agency currently recruiting Primary School Supply SEN Teaching Assistants to work across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 in a wide range of Greater London primary schools. Due to increased demand from our partner schools, we have immediate supply SEN teaching assistant opportunities available.
Megalo Education is seeking primary supply school SEN teaching assistants in the Greater London area, dedicated to supporting children aged 4 to 11, some with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing and structured environment. These roles are perfect for experienced primary school SEN teaching assistants seeking flexible work, whether you’re looking for short-term cover, long-term placements, or regular supply.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils needs across the classroom and in small group sessions
- Assist teachers with lesson planning, learning resources, and classroom management
- Help pupils develop independence, confidence, and key skills
Requirements
- Experience working with children and specialise with SEND needs
- Specialist SEN training, such as supporting children with autism, ADHD, or other additional needs
- Paediatric First Aid (often required for working with younger children or certain SEN pupils)
- Ideally qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Enthusiasm for supporting pupils’ learning and development
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
