Opportunities for Qualified Nursery Practitioners AND Nursery Room Leaders

Megalo Recruit is looking for a number of Nursery Practitioners and Nursery Room Leaders to join one of a number of nurseries across Greater London. Salary up to £31,000pa.

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioners and Nursery Room Leaders for nurseries located in West London, North London, South East London, East London and South West London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children.

Responsibilities of Nursery Practitioner and Nursery Room Leader

• Provide high-quality childcare and early education to children aged 0-5 years.
• Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Manage daily routines, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children’s development.
• Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and share with parents.
• Drive initiatives that encourage children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through play-based learning.
• Lead by example demonstrating best practice in childcare and early education while supporting fellow team members.

Qualifications required for Nursery Practitioner and Nursery Room Leader

• A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
• Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required to engage effectively with children and parents.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and organised environment.
• A passion for nurturing children’s development through creative play and structured activities.
• Leadership qualities that inspire confidence in both children and colleagues are advantageous.
• A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
