Opportunity for a L3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to work as floater on on a temporary 6 month contract

Megalo Recruit is looking for qualified level 3 or above Nursery Practitioner to work as a floater on a 6 month contract that can be extended to a permanent role, for a nursery near Balham, South West London. Paying £14.80ph, equivalent to £30,784pa.

Job Specification for Nursery Practitioner:

• 6 month minimum contract that can be extended if both parties agree
• Floater across all rooms
• 7:30-6:30 Monday to Thursday and 7.30-2 Fridays
• 40 hours so shifts of 8/9 hours long to cover the early finish on Friday
• MUST hold a full and relevant Early Years and childcare qualification at Level 3 or above
• Must have valid full paediatric first aid
• Clear enhanced child workforce DBS also registered on update

Skills required for Nursery Practitioner:

• Nursery Educator must have full and relevant NVQ, Cache, NNEB or equivalent level 3 early years qualification or QTS (or equivalent) status
• Good communication skills and proven experience working with 0-5 age group in a nursery or school setting
• Be able to work as part a team
• Solid knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and Health and Safety

Role Responsibilities include:

• Observe and plan for children following EYFS curriculum
• Have experience of working in a team in a nursery/school setting with baby/toddler/preschool age groups
• Build relationships with children and their families
• Maintain health & safety of children and follow safeguarding procedures
