Job Specification for Level 2/3 Nursery Nurse to include:

  • Full or part time hours available – either working a 42.5 or 40 hours a week, all year round, on a shift pattern covering 730am until 6pm; can accommodate 40 hours over 4 days; OR working all day on a Monday (8.5 hours) and Tuesday – Thursday afternoons 1-5.30pm. 22 hours a week all year round.

Nursery Nurse Role Responsibilities:

  • Implement Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum: Planning and delivering a programme of activity for children in the nursery.
  • Building Relationships: Foster connections with children and their families and care-providers.
  • Working as part of a team
  • Safety and Welfare: Maintain health & safety standards and diligently follow safeguarding procedures.

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Level 2+ – NVQ, Cache, or equivalent
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage , safeguarding, and health and safety.
  • Communication Skills: Able to liaise and develop relationships with parents, carers and local authorities.
  • Experience: Working with 0-5s in a nursery, pre-school or school setting.

  • Salary starting from £26,000 pa for full time role; From £13,499.20 a year for the part time, all year round (22 hour /wk role)
