We are recruiting for a Nursery Deputy Manager in the Kingston upon Thames postcode area to be part of a large nursery group, committed to providing a nurturing and educational environment for children.

The successful candidate will be room based, working in 1.5-2.5 year olds room, as and when required.

Job Specification for Nursery Deputy Manager to include:

  • Full Time hours working a 40 hour week, all year round, to cover 8am-6pm
  • Easily accessible by car from Kingston upon Thames, Hampton Court, Thames Ditton and surrounding areas
  • Experience of working in a nursery/school setting previously at Nursery Room Leader level or a previous Nursery Deputy Manager role

Nursery Deputy Manager Role Responsibilities:

  • Implement Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum: Planning and delivering a programme of activity for children in the nursery
  • Building Relationships: Foster connections with children and their families and care-providers
  • Working as part of a team
  • Safety and Welfare: Maintain health & safety standards and diligently follow safeguarding procedures

Personal Specification:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Level 3+ – NVQ, Cache, or equivalent
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage , safeguarding, and health and safety
  • Communication Skills: Able to liaise and develop relationships with parents, carers and local authorities
  • Experience: Previous experience working with 1.5-2.5 years old children in a nursery, pre-school or school setting
