We are recruiting for a Nursery Deputy Manager in the Ascot postcode area of Berkshire, who has a passion for working in an ‘Outstanding” Ofsted rated nursery, with children aged 0-5 years old.

Job Specification for Nursery Deputy Manager to include:

  • Full Time hours working a 40 hour week, all year round, 5 days per week, working 8am until 6pm
  • Salary from £30,000 pa
  • Assist the Nursery Manager with the smooth running of the nursery day to day
  • Not a Supernumerary role, but working in a room with the children
  • Experience as Nursery Deputy Manager essential
  • Easily accessible by car with free parking available on site. Public transport

Nursery Deputy Manager Role Responsibilities include:

  • To continuously monitor and recommend improvements for quality in all working areas to the Nursery Manager.
  • To work with the Manager and staff on the implementation of policies and procedures.
  • To take a lead with the planning and documentation of the Early Years Foundation Stage ensuring that learning outcomes are being attained for the children by all the staff.
  • To supervise the Curriculum Planning & Learning Journeys in accordance with the EYFS across all rooms in the Nursery. To ensure that all documentation is accurately completed and up to date.

Personal Specification:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Level 3+ – NVQ, Cache, or equivalent
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage , safeguarding, and health and safety
  • Communication Skills: Able to liaise and develop relationships with parents, carers and local authorities
  • Experience: Working with 0-5-year-old children in a nursery, pre-school or school setting
