Senior Early Years Operations Manager – North London, Multi Site

Opportunity for a Senior Early Years Operations Manager working across the North London area, paying up to £65,000 per year plus bonus.

Megalo Recruit is looking for an experienced senior early years operations manager with multi-site management experience in the early years sector to join a family run nursery setting based in the North London area. Excellent pay of up to £64,000 pa plus bonus. This is a full time and permanent position.

Job Specification for Senior Early Years Operations Manager:

  • Full time, permanent, 5 days a week
  • Must hold a full and relevant Early Years and childcare qualification at Level 3 or above
  • Must have multi-site management experience in early years sector

Skills required for Senior Early Years Operations Manager:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a senior multi-site management role within early years settings
  • Recognised Early Years qualification (Level 3 minimum; degree/EYPS preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams, with a strong track record of driving improvement
  • Proven ability to inspire and lead teams, driving continuous improvement and fostering a collaborative, nurturing environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing change and supporting staff through periods of growth and innovation
  • Deep understanding of the EYFS framework, Ofsted standards, and best practice in early childhood development.
  • ⁠Strategic thinker with strong people skills, financial acumen, and a creative approach to problem-solving.

Role Responsibilities include:

  • Guide, support, and supervise nursery managers to ensure high-quality care and education, while also managing the mentoring program for new staff members
  • ⁠Develop and implement strategic plans for ongoing improvement and innovation across all settings
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted and statutory requirements, maintaining high standards of safeguarding
  • Monitor nursery performance, analyze data, and promote best practices
  • Oversee financial performance, occupancy rates, and resource allocation to ensure commercial success
  • Build relationships with parents, staff, and the community, promoting nurseries as centres of excellence
